Itinerary

Good morning, with the rising Sun over the Cappadocia,

Your guide will meet you at your Cappadocia hotel and departure for a daily tour with accompany of your local tour guide.

Please find the suggested tour itinerary below. Remember that you can customize the itinerary by talking with your tour consultant or guide.

Kaymakli Underground City

It’s a UNESCO site with a lot of narrow tunnels carved out thousands years ago. Strolling in a city founded under the ground is an uncommon experience, which you can’t have a chance to do everywhere.

Soganli Valley

One of the most important animal for the region is pigeon. Their egg is used to paint the rock cut churches (the area is one of the largest monastic centers) so every wall in the valley is full of pigeonholes which serves as a nest. Out of the well-known routes, this beautiful part of magnificent nature will show you the different shades of the mother nature.

Sinasos (Mustafa Pasha Village)

A village famous for its local architecture, this is the place where you can see the stone art of old Greek people who lived in this village until the 1924 population exchange. Now, with accompany of your guide, you will visit a local village full of Greek mansions and churches.

Taskinpasha

This is a village of Seljuk period which includes lots of beautiful examples of stone art coming from Central Asia to the central Anatolia. Here you will visit mosque, tomb and madrasah bearing the signs of Turkish Islamic art.

Keslik Village

The next stop is the Keslik village famous for its monastery, one of the unique iconoclastic examples of Cappadocian frescoes which are forbidden by the Roman empires then.

Cemil Village

Between Mustafapasha and the Soganli Valley with it’s stone-fronted houses that mainly consist of cave rooms. This village is a place of Turkish who came from Greece. Here they still rear their animals in cave stables, bake their bread in stone ovens, hang their grapes in caves to keep fresh during the winter.

St Nicholas Church

Visitors to this complex are welcomed by a massive stone gate in the wall surrounding the buildings. It was erected as a guarantee of equality before the law for all citizens of the Ottoman Empire, regardless of their religion.

St Constantine Church

The St. Constantine and Helen Church was sponsored by the Ottoman Grand Vizier in 1729. Then it’s renovated by the community in 1850 but is not in use since the population exchange in 1924.

After the tour, your guide will accompany you back to your hotel.

We wish you a good evening in your cave hotel, where you can enjoy the Cappadocia more.
